Jenny is a documentary and portrait photographer living and working in Stoke-on-Trent.  She loves photographing people and is eager to be a part of the creation of the Face of Stoke-on-Trent and capturing a snapshot of the people who also call this creative city ‘home’.

Darren Washington

Darren Washington, is the director of One One Six a mixed media gallery based in stoke on Trent. Darren has been working as a professional photographer for the past decade and has been linked to many artistic projects including the largest city wide selfie exhibition in 2014.

I have had a passion for photography for a long time but over the last few years I have become increasingly committed to furthering myself in this field. I have provided my services not only by volunteering but also taking photos for many local groups and events in the Stoke on Trent area.

I am an artist who works mainly with photography and writing. Most of my work takes place within my local area and my life in my home exploring the limitations caused by illness. This is a lovely project for everyone to be involved in, your opportunity to be part of something really big.

Richard Redshaw

I am a retired engineer, 70 years old, but have been involved in photography since I was 15. Turned semi-pro about 15 years ago, and full-time photographer about 6 years ago.  I think my role is to help promote the city and its artists.

Chris Humphreys

I am retired I live in Goldenhill Stoke on Trent I take photographs all the time. I am passionate about community and people 8 years ago we started a community group ‘Goldenhill Out and About Club’. I want older people to really live to laugh to get involved with community well being I would like to help people of my age group to feel powerful to be useful to feel important to society.

Natalie Willatt

Natalie is a Stoke-based photographer living in Fegg Hayes. She graduated from Leeds College of Art with a BA Hons degree in Photography. “I’m really excited to be working on this project.  For me photography is about stories and what all those little details in a picture can tell you.”

Sarah Peart


Sarah Peart is a self-employed photographer who focuses on documentary, portrait and abstract photography. She graduated at NULC with a triple Distinction in a BTEC Extended Diploma in Photography; since leaving in 2016 she has been involved in many projects that have benefited the city.

Penny Vincent

I am a keen amateur photographer, a founder member of the Photographers Collective North Staffs. I believe everyone should have the opportunity to be creative and express themselves. Photography is a great tool for that.

Sam Ivin

Sam Ivin’s work focuses on social issues and the people connected with them. His pictures attempt to demonstrate the impact these situations have on his subjects. By documenting their stories and perspectives he hopes to provide a more personal, tangible understanding of them. He studied Documentary Photography at the University of Wales, Newport graduating in 2014.
